What’s Your Sign For Finding Love After 50?
Because it helps to have different perspectives on dating, I occasionally ask colleagues to guest post on my blog. Think of it as getting together with a group of girlfriends to talk about your love life, as if all of your friends are relationship experts!
I’ve asked my friend, Leslie Traill, a leading astrologer and health, wellness and meditation coach for women over 40, to share with you what astrology can tell you about the men you’re dating.

Has a man ever asked you the question, “What’s your sign?”
Maybe from there a conversation ensues about each of your personality traits.
Sounds a little silly, however, think about it… How many dates do you think it would take to find out whether someone is sensitive, whether they are passionate, if they are high achievers, or curious? And the list goes on.
Sun Signs do not give you a full picture about a person’s personality.
However, they certainly do give you a glimpse into who you and a man are.
It’s a good place to start when you want to know more about an individual you may be thinking of dating.
For example, if you or the man you’re interested in is a Water Sign – Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces – know you’re with someone who has a sensitive and romantic side.
If either of you is a Fire Sign – Aries, Leo or Sagittarius – it’s likely you are passionate.
Earth Sign signs like Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn are high achievers and very loyal.
Last but not least, the Air Signs – Gemini, Libra and Aquarius – are curious and forever need change.
As a general rule Water goes with Earth.
Fire goes with Air.
And each of the elements go with the same element as their own. Meaning water signs go well with other water signs, etc.
Once again, this is just a beginning of getting to know someone.
When an astrologer does a Compatibility Chart, they take the two people’s birth data, that is their day and year of birth, their place of birth along with the time if they know it and put together the two charts comparing one with the other.
This gives a wealth of information that helps a relationship grow and become more solid and mature and can help you see if a particular person is well suited to you.
This is a fun and different way for getting to know more about yourself and the man you are interested in dating!

Hi ladies,
I never used to believe in astrology until I kissed a lot of frogs! I am a fire sign and spent a fair amount of time with water signs. Not a good combo for me…I use the term “water puts fire out.” I also learned astrology connections are not only important with romantic relationships but also with girlfriends and work relationships as well. Knowing there are traits & differences with each sign, helps a person deal with scenarios in a better light. Whether you believe in it or not, there is a lot of validity to it when you look back on some of your friendships over the years. Who is still there & who isn’t?

Thanks Susan. It really can be so helpful to know your friends and boyfriends Astrological sign. I’m a water sign yet I love Aquarians. I love their brainpower but after a while I miss their emotional side. It is amazing what a good Astrology reading can tell us about ourselves.
