    Hello Lisa,

Thanks for sharing the tips! Actually, I was about to be scammed! He asked me to write a letter as a fiancee even if we were just friends for 3 days to terminate his contract for his life is in danger in Syria. After sending the letter, I was asked to deposit a money for the termination of his contract amounting to $550. It was then I realized that it was a scam. I decided to stop the connection/communication by blocking him from my account! I am too intelligent to be stupid! Come to think of it, he first communicated with me through a “Christian Today” site. His name is John Townsend Henry!

Glenda, Sadly very intelligent women get scammed everyday because scammers play into their heart not their minds. So glad this didn’t happen to you. xoxoxo

    Hi Lisa

I almost got caught by one of these scammers. He pulled out all the stops but there was always a reason he could not meet for coffee. He had an accent and said he was Italian. He said he had a daughter and a mother who had Alzheimers. He tried to reel me in with compliments and attention.
He lost me the day he told me my friends didn’t love me as much as he did. I never even met the man!!! I immediately blocked him on my phone and on the dating site and reported him.
Another guy didn’t even get that far with me. another “foreigner”, he asked me to email him off the site because he wanted to discuss a “business venture”. I blocked and reported this guy immediately.

Good catch Monica. And the accent and Italian part are really common as part of their scams.

So true. I think I was being scammed only text him he comes back with all these romantic, babe, love, I’m not going to persue anyone else. Red flag no job turned down from worker’s compensation, he started a business with his son, turned into a franchise his son pushed him out of the business. He wants to look for a job somewhere around me. At 58 rents, no money. I own 4 homes, retired early March 16, financially healthy.

Their out there in full force.

Another easy way to find scammers – Copy a sentence from the middle of their profile. Search for it in quotes. Scammers usually copy their profiles from someone else and his quote will show up multiple dating sites (sometimes even labelled as a scammer). Even if the guy is not a scammer, who wants to date someone who is unoriginal and can’t say something about themselves in their own words?
